The Department of Children and Family Services in LA County have expressed their concern over the welfare of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna’s child — and taken the matter to court.
TMZ reports child welfare officials have raised the issue with L.A. County Dependency Court and asked for a judge to determine if 10-month-old Dream Kardashian is “safe”. Sources close to the ordeal told the outlet the department began its investigation following reports of Chyna’s alleged drug use.
The couple announced their engagement last year in April and pregnancy in May before Chyna gave birth to Dream in November. But things quickly unravelled.
According to the report, Blac Chyna is demanding for child support and Rob doesn’t think she deserves what she’s asking for.
However A sources with a familiar case tells TMZ , lawyers from both sides as well as Rob and Chyna themselves have been hashing out a joint custody arrangement for months. We’re told they are not far apart over the division of physical custody – each is fine giving the other substantial physical custody.
It’s significant because the Dept. of Children and Family Services opened a case even before Rob and Chyna split over her alleged drug use. We’re told it’s still an open case in L.A. County Dependency Court.
Sources familiar with the case tell TMZ, DCFS opened an investigation involving Chyna’s alleged drug use, and this was before Rob and Chyna split up.
As we reported, Chyna has obtained a restraining order against Rob after claiming he beat her.
We do not know the status of the case, but official court documents list the matter as a related case to the restraining order action.
